Graduate sets record as he becomes the first student to graduate with first class honours degree at university of ibadan,history department
The university of ibadan has produced it's first graduate with a first class honours degree in history for the first time in 69 years. The university of ibadan held it's convocation ceremony on Monday with 186 students finishing in the first class category. Ozibo Ekele made history as he emerged the first student of history department to bag a first class since the foundation o the institution. Ekele graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 6.6 out of a maximum of 7.0. Speaking at the ceremony,vice-chancellor,prof Idowu olayinka,said that a total of 5,629 students from various programmes were awarded first degree certificates at the ceremony,1,538 graduating students finished in the second class upper division,3,133 graduating students finished in the second class lower division,434 graduating students finished in the third class division,while 81 graduating students finished with pass. *congratulations man it is not easy.
